2010 Soup Bowl Supper Benefit

Since 2002, members of the Steamboat Clay Artisans have created handmade ceramic bowls that are chosen by event attendees. The bowls are filled with homemade soups, breads and desserts donated by area restaurants and Matt Binsfeld hold one of the many stunning bowlsbakeries. Locally made ceramic items are auctioned during the evening for the beneficiary.

Just a few of the silent auction items The Steamboat Clay Artisans have donated more than $55,000 to local nonprofit organizations including LIFT-UP of Routt County, Yampa Valley Recycles, Northwest Animal Assistance League, Historic Routt Cnty and Steamboat Mental Health and REPS (Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide).

SCA creates the ceramic ware, handles publicity and provides member/volunteers to distribute the bowls, take the tickets and coordinate the silent auction.

SCA requests that the beneficiary organization help sell tickets, procure food donations and manage the food service at the event. This involves the table settings, serving trays/pots, serving the food and cleanup. Click here for a "job list".
